A Moshi-based business.
The town of Moshi, where all hikes to the Kilimanjaro start, relies heavily on tourism. However, for the people in Moshi it can be difficult to reach and connect with people across the globe. As a result, international travel agencies swoop in and take business away from the local community.
Ombeni, the founder and lead tour guide of Tonga Expeditions, grew up on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. He experienced the same struggles that many Moshi-based businesses face.
